Alexandra Paras spends her working hours as Brand & Engagement Lead at Wirex, a digital payments platform that blends traditional and cryptocurrency finance, drawing on more than 13 years in marketing focused on social strategy and community engagement. Off the clock, she has built a second practice as an AI artist, with work shown in New York, Santiago and Milan, including seven pieces at City Lab Global's “Artificial V.2” festival.
Her marketing philosophy tracks a shift she has watched happen across the industry: from one-way, brand-controlled messaging toward community-driven conversations built on trust rather than polish. “Brand trust isn't about polished messaging,” she says. “It's about showing up authentically” — which in practice means balancing creative instinct against actual data on what audiences respond to, rather than picking one over the other.
She treats her AI art practice as an extension of that same instinct toward creative freedom rather than a separate hobby. “AI has given me the freedom to push artistic boundaries in ways I never imagined possible,” she says, describing the future of storytelling as a blend of technology and human emotion rather than a replacement of one by the other. She is currently studying Python to deepen the technical side of that practice, and expects the next wave of AI tools to push further into multimodal, human-centric systems — alongside, she stresses, the ethical frameworks needed to keep pace with them.
