Traackr's Creator Advantage 2026 report puts a hard number on something that's been obvious anecdotally for a while: celebrity-founded beauty brands now make up half of the industry's top 10 performers by creator-marketing impact. Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics sits at number two, Selena Gomez's Rare Beauty at three, Hailey Bieber's Rhode at four, Ariana Grande's R.E.M. Beauty at five, and Huda Kattan's Huda Beauty rounds out the top six — a lineup that reads less like a coincidence and more like a pattern about who actually wins in a creator-driven market.
The backdrop makes that dominance more impressive, not less. Beauty posted the highest average performance score of any industry the report measured, even as the landscape got meaningfully more crowded and harder to stand out in: the number of creators posting about beauty brands rose 66% year over year to 22,100, and posting frequency climbed another 6% on top of that. But average audience size per creator fell 30%, and overall content performance dipped slightly too — more noise, smaller individual reach, a genuinely tougher environment to cut through. Celebrity brands cutting through anyway says something real about the advantage of walking in with an audience already built, rather than trying to build one from a single product launch.
TikTok Shop's rise adds another layer to the story: the platform is now the fourth-largest health and beauty e-commerce retailer in the US, with $4.4 billion in sales in the category — proof that a creator-economy advantage converts directly into actual purchases, not just engagement. The financial numbers behind the top names back that up. Rhode sold to E.l.f. Beauty for up to $1 billion, and Rare Beauty carries a valuation around $2.7 billion, real outcomes rather than hype.
Not every famous name has translated the same way, which is its own useful data point: Gwen Stefani's GXVE Beauty and Drew Barrymore's Flower Beauty both struggled to gain real traction, proof that a recognizable face alone doesn't guarantee a win — it has to be paired with a brand people actually want to buy into, not just follow.
